The easiest {and cleanest} way to drain ground beef

Are you looking for a simple way to drain your ground beef? Here is a super easy and clean way to do it in just seconds!

Do you always have issues with draining your ground beef?  I've tried it all; paper towels to sop it up, draining into a dish (but then the ground beef goes with it.)

Here is how we do it in our house – it takes a pan and a colander.

Simply place the colander inside the cold pan, dump the ground beef in the colander and all the grease drains right into the pan.  Once the grease cools a bit we then pour it into an old can and discard in the garbage can.

Now you have perfectly drained ground beef.

You can use it for meat to add to my homemade spaghetti sauce recipe or maybe even add it to Chili.

  • THAT’S OK FOR THE GREASE, BUT I WANTED TO FIIND OUT HOWW TO DRAIN THE EXCESS ¨WATER FROM THE GROUND MEAT. ( IT IS PUT IN BY BUTCHER FOR AN UNDERSTANDANBLE REASON, BT WHEN MAKING MEARTBALLS I DO NOT WANT TO HAVE TO ADD MORE BREAD OR BREADCRUMBS THAT NECESSARY.
    DO YOU HAVE A SOLUTION?
