Here is a simple way to clean your oven naturally without chemicals!

There is NO worse smell to me than the smell of a cleaning oven.  It makes me sick to my stomach and I have to have all of my windows open, UNTIL I found this solution.  This is a super easy and natural way to clean your oven, plus the lemons that you use actually make it smell good!

Here is how you can naturally clean your oven:

  1. {the night before} Sprinkle baking soda on the bottom of the oven, and  spray it with water from a spray bottle. Let it sit overnight and then scrub in the morning with a sponge.
  2. Next – Squeeze two lemons into a baking dish filled with an inch of water, then put the remains of the lemons inside the dish.  Bake the dish in a 250 degree oven for 30 minutes. This will help remove any additional caked on foods so it is easier to remove plus it will deodorize your oven at the same time.
  3. When the lemons are finished baking, wipe the inside of the oven down with a scrubbing sponge. The lemon mixture should have removed all the rest of the burnt-on foods.
  4. For grease removal use a natural dish liquid like – Seventh Generation.  Mix this together with water and scrub with a sponge until the grease is gone.
  5. For the door of your oven, mix together a paste with baking soda and lemon juice.  Use this to scrub the door of the oven to remove any cloudiness on the glass.

Let me know how this worked, I hope it is an easier way and less toxic!

  • Mix lemon concentrate with the baking soda and water. Add a natural Meyer’s multi-surface cleaner (like the honeysuckle scent) if you want to freshen the house. Put oven on at 250 for like 20 minutes with the goup on the walls. Turn off oven and go to sleep. In the morning wipe it out with a rag.
