Are you sick of buying new power cords for your electronics Here is a super easy (and less expensive) way to fix them just like new!

I am always ruining my power cords to my computers!  It may have something to do with the fact that I work on my couch most days with kids jumping all over my lap, or the fact that I travel so frequently and always have my power cords shoved in my laptop bag.  These cords can be SO expensive and also break at the worst times.  I can't go a day without my laptop so protecting my power cords have become a necessity for me… and protecting is a lot less expensive than buying a whole new cord right?

    Sugru

I was looking around for something to help me preserve my cords and found this product called sugru.  It is a self-setting rubber that feels like silly putty at first, but you mold it around things you want to fix and after it cures overnight, it becomes a hard rubber.  It really is just that easy.

Mark and I took the power cords on our MacBooks and molded the sugru around the part that usually breaks on our power cords. We are thrilled to not have to worry about breaking our cords anymore.  We also used different color sugru on our cords so we know which one goes with which laptop.

When looking around on their website I found many other uses for sugru, including fixing toys, shoes and creating crafty things for your kids!

I saw this picture on the sugru blog.  They made their own stamps, genius!  I am going to attempt to make an ‘Olaf' stamp from the movie Frozen for my daughter's birthday party!
