Homemade sugar scrubs are so easy to make and smell fantastic! I keep a jar of this next to my kitchen sink so that I can use it to scrub my hands after I have cut peppers or onions to help get the smell out!
You only need 4 ingredients to make this recipe: Olive oil, sugar, and essential oils (I use Rocky Mountain brand they are the best ones around!)
To make your scrub you need to combine the the olive oil and sugar. I use a 1/2 cup of sugar to 1/4 cup of olive oil.
I put in 15 drops of Lemon and 5 drops of Immune Strength.
I purchased these 4 oz Ball Canning Jars to put the sugar scrub in. I also purchased this Chevron Duck Brand Fabric Duck Tape sheet. I cut out around the top, peeled off the back and stuck it just like a sticker on the top. This is the first time I’ve used the Duck Brand Fabric and I LOVED it! You can find it right in the craft section at Walmart for $1.98 per sheet.
As you can see the fabric tape sticks right to the top. I also used a matching Chevron ribbon to wrap around the middle of the canning jar to give it an extra touch
And there you have it – in just under 5 minutes you can create this for yourself or for a Mother’s Day gift!
You can purchase Rocky Mountain Oils right here.
This year we are getting rid of our cleaning supplies and trying to get most of the chemicals out of our house.
