Crockpot Applesauce

One great way to use up the fresh apples I pick in the fall is to make Crockpot Applesauce! It is so easy and the results are delicious!

I made a batch of this and I can put it together just under 10 minutes!

I first start by taking 10 – 15 apples, then I use my apple corer and peeler to cut, peel, and core my apples. This took me about 8 minutes to do all 15 apples.

If you are looking into one of these handy tools, I recommend the clamp version.  As you can see it clamps to my table, the suction cup ones can become ineffective after the stickiness of the suction cup wears off.  You need for these to be very tight on the table in order for them to work as quickly as you would like.

You simply dump all the apples into the crockpot, add 1/4 cup of cinnamon and 2-4 TBSP of water.  Then cook on low for 8 hours!

When you are done, the apples should be able to smush down with a fork turn into a chunky applesauce.  If I want a smoother applesauce I use my Cuisinart Stick Blender.
